Passport and Visa information
Passport with validity at least of six months is required.
For a stay less than thirty days you don't need any Tourist Visa. Upon you arrival in Thailand, on your passport will be applied a date stamp and attached a small paper with your personal data: this is the VOA, Visa on Arrival; it's allows you to stay in Thailand for max. 30 days.
If you are planning to stay in Thailand more than 30 days, you need a Tourist Visa, issued by Thai Embassy and Consulates in your country. Remember that it's a Tourist Visa: it doesn't allow you to work, even for few days. Thai Law and Immigration Police have sent back many foreigner citizens because they are just helping a friend at work...

Immigration Office, Nathon
If you wish to extend your stay in Thailand, you must go personally to Immigration Office in Nathon or directly to the airport before your Visa's expiration. They will extend your Visa validity for a period of 10 days; current tariff is THB 1,900=.
